S-LINK NECKLACE
In order to make the S-link necklace, we need to prepare a few materials first; round nose pliers, chain nose pliers, diagonal cutters, beads, silver wire and etc. To construct this necklace, we need to make several parts of the necklace; S-link, the connecting link which is called the bone, and the basic hook and eye clasp to close off the necklace. Firstly, we measure the silver wire in order to prepare exactly two inch wires. To create S-link, grab the tip of the individual two inch wire with the round nose pliers which help us to have a good grip of the silver wire. When the silver wire is spiraled, it is orbiting around the pliers but it is not touching the pliers. In order to have the wire the S look, repeat the coiling to the opposite end of the wire in everse way. It is better to lightly hammer the finished individual S-link because it makes stronger link and gives better looking. When any spreading coil is observed between procedures, simply grab the inner part of the wire and recoil to make it tighter. To craft the connecting link called the bone, measure and cut the silver wire to prepare several four inch silver wires. Grab the wire with round nose pliers about an inch from the end and bend it at a 45 degree angle which is done to center the loop. Then bend it around the pliers round jaw. Cut the inside of the loop with the wire cutter and a wooden bead is added to the bone. This step is repeated to opposite side of the bone link as well. By twisting one side of the loop of the bone link, it is now able to attach to the s-link and close up the opening of the loop with the pliers. All the procedures are repeated to create the S-link necklace. To construct the fishhook clasp, prepare 6 inch wire, fold it with the flat nose pliers and form the loop with the round nose pliers. After hammering it, bend the wire at a 45 degree angle and make a nice curve. Cut the inside loops of remaining wire and flatten it out. Twist the loop to open, attach to the bone and close it up. We can also create the wrap hook and the eye clasp to finish the S-link necklace by making the figure-eight link which is little more complicated than the fishhook clasp. For both sides of the necklace, create the shape eight, connect it to the link, wrap the clasp, and cut the remaining wire. For the hook clasp, grab the tip of a wire, bend it and fold it and place the long end of the wire into the eight shaped link and wrap the wire three times around the hook and cut the remaining wire.
